Hi, I'm Shannon

I'm a wife, mom, GiGi to five wonderful grandchildren, and the founder of Willow & Word.

I live in Waynesboro, Georgia, where faith, family, and everyday moments inspire the stories I write.

But Willow & Word didn't begin with a business plan.

It began with a whisper from God.

One ordinary day, while sitting in my living room, I looked at my husband and said,

"You're going to think I'm crazy, but God wants me to write a children's book."

At that moment, I had no idea where that whisper would lead—but I knew I had to say "yes."

The Story Continues

As the days passed, little pieces of a story began to come to me. Characters took shape in my heart, scenes unfolded in my mind, and what began as a simple whisper from God became something much bigger than I ever imagined.

That whisper became my very first children's book, A Wink From God.

With every page I wrote, God continued to remind me that these stories were never just about books. They were about planting seeds of faith, offering hope, and helping children recognize His presence in everyday moments.

Before long, Willow & Word was born.

Today, Willow & Word is more than a publishing company—it's a ministry dedicated to creating faith-filled stories and gifts that point children and families to Jesus.

Whether I'm writing a new book, visiting a school, speaking at a church, or meeting families at a book signing, my prayer is always the same:

"My prayer is that every child who opens a Willow & Word book will leave knowing they are deeply loved by God and that He is always with them."

I believe stories have the power to plant seeds that grow for a lifetime.
